From the entry there is slate tile on the floor with quarter cut white oak throughout the rest of the main level. It was finished with a low VOC product called MONOCoat. Rock from Colorado was used inside and out. The interior rock was cut down in size to be proportionate with the interior. Steel panels and beams were installed throughout and finished with a gun metal finish.

The original “cabin” was full of differnt types and colors of wood which really clashed. We loved this blue grey wood, however, and used it in accent areas of the home. You can see it here on the Dining room wall. Sarah Sumner and GC Vernon Leslie had fun choosing where to put this gorgeous remnant from the cabin.

The Lower level (used to be the garage) offered a bonus of space for visitng children and their friends. Sarah Sumner Lead Designer with Fusion Interiors, designed a custom locally made bunk bed which sleeps six and fits perfectly along the back wall. We used Houzz.com for ideas to share back and forth with the Texas home owners. there is another bar in the room, and Sarah also designed the sliding doors using the blue grey wood from the former cabin. No VOC paint was used throughout the home to promote healthy indoor air quality.
